Welcome to Lot 12 Public House ~ A Dining Destination!
Lot 12 Public House serves fine contemporary cuisine prepared by local Chef Damian Heath and pours distinctive wines, microbrews and fine spirits as well.

The restaurant is situated in a beautifully restored house built in 1913, where you may dine on our porch during pleasant weather or in our warm and inviting dining room.

We're nestled in beautiful downtown Berkeley Springs (the country's first spa), just a few minute's walk from Berkeley Springs State Park, many Bed & Breakfasts, spa facilities and even a vintage 1940s movie theater.

The critics are raving about Lot 12!

From the Washington Post April 21st, 2000 edition, "Weekend Section"- article by Eve Zibart, Washington Post Staff Writer ~ "Homey Atmosphere, Upscale Cuisine":

"It's a small-town clichŽ in the best sense: In a slowly re-blossoming historic resort, the prodigal son of two popular artists returns home and, with his similarly creative wife, restores a down-at-the-heels Victorian, puts in a sleek commercial kitchen and serves up unflashy but accomplished food in the front parlor."

"The wine list is interesting and modestly priced..."

"The grilled venison sausage is already a trademark: spicy and gamy, just barely blackened..."

"When possible, the Heaths buy local ingredients...the organic mixed greens from an Amish farm and the Pennsylvania goat cheese, which is crisped into medallions for the spinach salad and drizzled with coarse mustard vinaigrette."

From the Washington Times May 18th, 2000 edition, Washington Weekend Section - "Dining Out" column by Ann Geracimos:

"In line with the famous Michelin Guide category, it's almost worth the two-hour trip from Washington just for dinner."

"It's a big city restaurant with a small-town flavor..."

From the From the USA Today, Friday, May 26th, 2000 issue. Life section, Page 6D-7D article titled "The 50 Great Plates of America", Lot 12 represented West Virginia's Plate consisting of Grilled Country Bread topped with Herbed Goat Cheese, Country Ham and SautŽed Wild Ramps.
